25 May 2020 Announcement

As of this week, Belmont Junior Football Club will commence some training. There have been a number of restrictions placed on all junior football clubs returning to training and we have been working on this since the announcement from the Football Commission recently.

It is vitally important that you are aware of expectations now in place when you attend a training session while there are still WA State Government COVID-19 restrictions in place. As a result, the WA Football Commission has released training information for parents and clubs to adhere to.

Please see below information for Parents or click HERE to download your copy

Also at training sessions a training checklist and attendance register will be enforced. The attendance register will require a record of names of people/players etc who attend the session so there cannot be any more than 20 participants.

Parents please note ... parents cannot attend training sessions to watch as if you do you will be included in the maximum 20 participants.  We encourage you to drop your kids off at the start of training and then either remain in your car or return at the end of training to collect your child.

The decision on whether your team will be training is up to each individual coach.  If training is going ahead then your team coach will be in touch with you with details on the commencement date and days the team is training as this may be different to the usual training days and how many times a week.

Please note ... there will be NO AUSKICK training at this stage.

Access to the clubrooms, change rooms and canteen will NOT be available on any training day. Belmont Council will let us know as soon as this restriction is lifted and we can use these facilities again. Players should arrive at training in their gear with individual water bottles.

At this stage, the WA Football Commission has only given the go ahead for training to recommence and there is no announcements on when games will return.

Meeting all the requirements set from the Government, WAFC and Belmont Council is absolutely critical as the fines and sanctions are substantial.  We appreciate everyone's patience and understanding with this situation as we strive to do all that we need so we can safely get the kids back on the park and enjoying footy again.
